Root Canal Treatments

Root Canal Treatments

Even severely damaged teeth do not always need to be extracted. With high-quality root canal treatment, they can often be preserved in the long term.

Using state-of-the-art techniques and modern filling materials, we provide precise and effective root canal treatment to protect your tooth and support your long-term dental health.

Dental Fillings

When minor repairs are needed, the affected tooth can be restored with a dental filling. Any decayed or damaged areas are carefully removed and the tooth is thoroughly cleaned.

The cavity is then filled with a suitable material, usually composite resin, to restore the tooth’s function, stability and appearance.

We would be happy to advise you on the different filling materials available during a consultation.

Wisdom tooth surgery

Wisdom tooth surgery

If your wisdom teeth need to be removed, you are in experienced hands with us. Using state-of-the-art 3D imaging and individually tailored anaesthesia options, we aim to make the procedure as gentle, safe and comfortable as possible.

Whether under local anaesthesia, twilight sedation or general anaesthesia, we will discuss the most suitable option with you.

The procedure is usually performed on an outpatient basis, allowing you to return home on the same day.

Holistic Dentistry

Environmental dentistry

In some cases, a tooth may need to be restored or replaced despite good preventive care. The materials used for fillings, restorations or replacements often remain in the mouth for many years. Although these materials are carefully tested, some patients may be sensitive to certain substances.

Our aim is to identify potential sensitivities and select materials that are suitable for your individual needs. This can be particularly relevant for patients with allergies, chronic conditions or upcoming dental treatment.

Following a comprehensive examination, which may include X-rays and, where appropriate, saliva or blood tests, we assess possible contributing factors and develop an individually compatible treatment approach. Our goal is dental care that supports function, aesthetics and overall wellbeing.

Amalgam removal

Amalgam has been used in dentistry for many years to restore teeth affected by decay. It is a durable filling material that contains mercury in a bound form. Some patients choose to have existing amalgam fillings replaced for personal, aesthetic or material-related reasons.

Before treatment, we carry out a thorough assessment and discuss whether replacement is appropriate in your individual case. Where amalgam fillings are removed, we use careful treatment protocols and protective measures to minimise exposure to amalgam particles and vapours during the procedure.

The tooth is then restored using high-quality, biocompatible filling materials selected according to your individual needs.

We would be happy to advise you personally on amalgam removal and suitable restoration options.

Periodontitis

Healthy gums are essential for maintaining your teeth for a lifetime. If you are affected by gum disease such as periodontitis, we provide gentle, effective and individually tailored treatment.

Periodontitis is a bacterial inflammatory disease that affects the tissues supporting the teeth. It often develops gradually and may remain unnoticed for a long time because symptoms are not always obvious in the early stages.

Untreated periodontitis can lead to loose teeth and tooth loss. In addition, periodontitis is considered a risk factor for a number of general health conditions.

For example, strokes are reported to occur up to three times more frequently in patients with periodontitis than in people with healthy gums. The risk of heart attack is also increased by around 25%. Diabetes, rheumatic diseases and respiratory illnesses are likewise more common. Periodontitis may also increase the risk of premature birth and low birth weight.

Bad Breath

Bad breath (medical term: halitosis) is a taboo subject: nobody likes to talk about it – even though many are affected. According to international epidemiological studies, bad breath occurs with similar frequency in almost all countries worldwide. Approximately 25% of the population experiences noticeable bad breath at least at certain times of the day, and about 6% even suffer from it day and night.

With current knowledge about the causes of bad breath, it can be successfully treated in most cases. The most important prerequisite, however, is to identify the specific cause individually for each patient. Since odor-producing microorganisms in the oral cavity are the most common cause, treatment primarily belongs in the hands of a dentist.

Do you feel unsure? Do you think bad breath might be an issue affecting you personally or someone in your environment? We can help you. Sign up for our bad breath consultation today.

The cost for a bad breath consultation is 245 CHF, including X-rays and Halisens measurement.

Dental Anxiety

Fear-Free Dentistry

Dental anxiety is very common, and you are not alone. Taking the first step and seeking support is something to be proud of. We are here to help you feel safe, understood and in control throughout your visit.

No matter how long it has been since your last dental appointment, you will receive empathetic, non-judgemental care in a calm and welcoming environment.

During a personal consultation, we take the time to listen to your concerns, explain every step clearly and find an approach that feels right for you. Together, we can make dental visits feel more manageable.

Laser Treatments

In our practice, we utilize state-of-the-art laser technology to perform dental treatments pain-free, quickly, and gently. The versatile Erbium laser enables precise cavity removal without drilling noises or vibrations, often without anesthesia. Furthermore, it effectively cleans even complex root canals and supports surgical procedures through precise cutting with improved healing.

The Softlaser Med 701 is used in photodynamic therapy, a pain-free method for treating periodontitis and peri-implantitis, which efficiently eliminates bacteria and reduces the need for antibiotics.

Our CO₂ laser allows for quick and precise soft tissue procedures, such as frenectomies or gingivectomies, with a minimal risk of postoperative infections.

3D X-rays

Three-dimensional X-rays provide a detailed view of the jaw, teeth and surrounding structures. They can support particularly precise diagnosis and treatment planning in selected cases.

Our 3D imaging technology is used only when clinically indicated and with carefully selected settings to keep radiation exposure as low as reasonably achievable.

This enables us to plan treatments with greater precision while taking your safety and individual needs into account.

ROOT-END SURGERY

Apico-
ectomies

Removing inflamed tissue from the tip of a tooth root can help stop an infection from spreading and preserve the affected tooth. This procedure, known as an apicoectomy, requires a high degree of precision and is performed in our practice using modern techniques for safe and accurate treatment.

This gentle procedure can often help preserve the tooth in the long term and avoid more extensive restorative treatment. Our aim is to protect your dental health and provide the most comfortable and sustainable solution for your individual situation.
